This business didn’t start in a boardroom. It started in the field, in the middle of a crisis. When interest rates surged in the 1980s, our family farm was on the edge. Long days, sleepless nights, no guarantees. That’s when our founder, Edwin Blosser, prayed a simple prayer: “Lord, if there was a way to help our family and others like ours, I’ll give my life to it.”
That prayer set him on a path. In 1992 he traveled to Europe and discovered how true humus compost builds far greater fertility than the usual approach. A year later he founded Midwest Bio-Systems to build the tools and system to make it work.
